Legal
Privacy policy
Last updated 15 September 2026. Applies to wavemusicapp.com and the WaveMusicApp phone, tablet, and browser apps.
Who we are
WaveMusicApp (“Wave”, “we”) operates this site and the store apps that open it full-screen (Android, iOS/iPadOS, and the installable browser / Windows PWA). This policy describes what we store when you browse, sign in, play music, or see a banner on an original page. It is written for listeners, store reviewers, and advertising partners who require a public privacy page.
What we collect
- Account: email, handle, password hash, plan, blocked listeners, and whether you asked to hide ads. Passwords are stored hashed, not in plain text.
- Library: likes, playlists, follows, comments, and listening history tied to your account so they follow you across devices.
- Device preferences: language, onboarding “already seen”, player color, and similar flags in this browser’s storage.
- Earnings activity: banner impressions and listens used only to compute your BDC share. We do not sell that log.
- Safety reports: if you report a listener or a public playlist, we store the target handle, the reason, optional details, and (if you are signed in) your handle so the operator can review it.
Advertising
On original pages we may load Google AdSense and Adsterra (HighRevenueFormat) tags. Those companies can set cookies or advertising identifiers to measure and, where allowed, personalize ads. Ads do not run on album, track, artist, radio, or YouTube playback screens. You can use a signed-in Plus/Creator plan that hides banners, or industry opt-outs such as Google’s Ads Settings.
The publisher ID for this site is ca-pub-1143557448185382. Authorized digital sellers are listed at /ads.txt.
Third-party media
Charts and 30-second clips come from Apple and Spotify public APIs. Official videos play inside a YouTube embed. Those services have their own privacy policies. Wave does not upload your library to them.
Retention and your choices
Account data stays until you delete it or the operator removes the account. You can stop using the site, sign out, or clear this browser’s storage at any time. To delete a signed-in account and the library tied to it, open Delete account.
Phone, tablet, and browser apps
The Play, App Store, and Microsoft listings wrap this same site. They do not add a separate analytics SDK, contacts access, location, or microphone. The WebView loads wavemusicapp.com over HTTPS. Advertising identifiers, if any, are the same tags that run on original pages in a regular browser. Plus and Creator are sold on the website, not as in-app purchases.
After you publish a signed Android build, Digital Asset Links can verify the package. After you set an Apple Team ID, Universal Links can open the iPhone and iPad app.
Children
Wave is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
