Jo Platt

Joanne Marie Platt (born 15 June 1973) is a British Labour and Co-operative Party politician who has been Member of Parliament (MP) for Leigh since 2017.She is Leigh's first female MP, succeeding Andy Burnham, who left Parliament to become the Mayor of Greater Manchester. On 13 July 2017 she became Parliamentary Private Secretary to Angela Rayner and she is also a Member of the Communities and Local Government Select Committee. On 10 July 2018 she became Shadow Minister for the Cabinet Office.
